SIEMENS - 60 cm Dishwashers

A 60 cm dishwasher is the standard kitchen size: it washes 12–14 place settings in one load, so a family's dishes go through in a single cycle. The wider basket also takes large pots and oven trays. For an open-plan kitchen choose a machine rated at 44 dB or less; the quietest models run at 39–42 dB. A fully integrated model hides behind a cabinet door and keeps the kitchen line unbroken.

The range includes Electrolux, Miele, Bosch, Siemens and AEG. In towns with a Euronics store we deliver the machine, connect it in place and take away the packaging and your old appliance.

Freestanding or integrated 60 cm dishwasher

To find the right dishwasher, it is essential to consider what space it will fit into and how frequently it will be used. For large households and daily use, it is advisable to choose the largest option available. In this case, the dishwasher width is 60 cm. If you cook a lot in your household, a larger 60 cm dishwasher is the better option to fit all pots and large dishes inside.

An integrated dishwasher is placed under the countertop in the designated space. Both 60 cm and 45 cm wide integrated dishwashers are available from us, with many product options. Similarly, we have a selection of freestanding dishwashers, 60 cm wide, from various brands.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about 60 cm dishwashers

Will a 60 cm dishwasher definitely fit my space?

The standard opening is 60 cm wide and about 82 cm high, and the machine needs roughly 60 cm of depth plus 5–10 cm behind it for the hoses. Measure the opening before ordering, and remember that the worktop height and adjustable feet give a few centimetres of tolerance.

How many place settings fit into a 60 cm machine?

Typically 12–14 place settings. One place setting means the plates, glass and cutlery of a single person, so a full load covers a family's dishes for a day. Large pots and oven trays also fit, which they rarely do in a slim machine.

Is a cutlery tray better than a cutlery basket?

A cutlery tray as a third level frees the lower basket for pots and large plates and washes cutlery more evenly. A basket is quicker to load and unload and takes long utensils more easily. Both wash equally well; the choice is about habit.

What does automatic door opening (AirDry, AutoOpen) do?

At the end of the programme the door opens a few centimetres on its own so that moist air escapes and the dishes dry with residual heat instead of a heating element. It saves electricity and improves drying, especially for plastic items. Leave room above the door for it to open.

What counts as a quiet 60 cm dishwasher?

44 dB or less is quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen. The quietest machines are 39–42 dB. Every 3 dB roughly halves the sound power, so the difference between 48 dB and 42 dB is clearly audible in a living space.

Does the Eco programme clean properly even though it uses less water?

Yes. The Eco programme washes at a lower temperature but for longer, which lets the detergent enzymes work. It is the programme the energy label is measured with and it uses the least water and electricity. Only heavily soiled loads need a hotter programme.

Do I need a safety tray under the dishwasher?

In Finland a safety tray is normally required in new installations, and housing companies and insurers may ask for one. The shaped rear edge guides a leak out in front of the machine, where it becomes visible before the water reaches the floor structure.

How do I keep the machine fresh?

Rinse the filter regularly, wipe the door seals, and run a machine cleaner or an empty hot cycle about once a month. Leaving the door ajar between washes lets the interior dry and prevents stale smells.
