Hobs

The type of hob decides how quickly and how precisely food cooks. An induction hob heats the base of the pan directly with a magnetic field, so it warms up fastest and cools the moment the pan is lifted off; it requires magnetic pans. A ceramic hob heats through the glass with an element and costs less to buy. Measure the opening in the worktop and check the electrical connection before ordering.
