From Euronics you will find washing machines, tumble dryers and drying cabinets for every home and need. A compact top loading model for a small bathroom and a space-saving washer dryer are all in the same selection, and our experts will help you choose. Brands include Miele, Bosch, AEG, Electrolux, Siemens and Helkama.

Stacked washer and dryer, or washer dryer?

Choosing the right appliance depends on the available space and the amount of laundry. A separate washing machine and tumble dryer, installed side by side or stacked as a washer and dryer tower, is often the most efficient solution for large amounts of laundry. If space is limited, a washer dryer combines two appliances into one and washes and dries laundry with the same programme without moving the clothes. Remember that we also offer home delivery and installation services as well as recycling of your old appliance.

Frequently asked questions about washing machines and tumble dryers

How do I choose the right load capacity (kg) for a washing machine?

The load capacity should be chosen according to the size of the household. A 5–7 kg machine is often sufficient for households of one or two people. For families with children and those who wash a lot of laundry, we recommend a load capacity of at least 8–10 kg, so you can wash less often and with more space, which reduces wrinkling of clothes and saves energy.

What is the difference between a condenser and a heat pump tumble dryer?

A traditional condenser tumble dryer heats the air with resistors, which consumes more electricity. A tumble dryer utilizing heat pump technology circulates heat efficiently, consuming up to half as much energy. A heat pump dryer is also gentler on clothes because the drying temperature is lower.

Can a tumble dryer be installed on top of a washing machine?

Yes, it can, and this is called a washer and dryer tower. However, the correct type of intermediate stacking kit is required for installation, ensuring the tower's stability and safety. Often, the stacking kit also features a handy pull-out shelf for a laundry basket. Always check the compatibility of the appliances with the seller.

What is the advantage of a top-loading washing machine?

A top-loading washing machine is an excellent solution for narrow spaces. These machines are typically only 40–45 cm wide, whereas front-loading ones are usually 60 cm wide. A top-loading model also does not require space for a door to open in front of the machine.

Should I get a drying cabinet or a tumble dryer?

The appliances complement each other. A tumble dryer is the fastest way to dry sheets, towels, and everyday clothes soft. A drying cabinet, on the other hand, is indispensable for drying wet outdoor clothes, shoes, overalls, and textiles that cannot withstand tumble drying.

What are the benefits of a washing machine's steam function?

The steam function refreshes clothes without washing them in water, removes wrinkles, and reduces the need for ironing. It is also an excellent feature for allergy sufferers, as steam effectively removes allergens and bacteria from textiles.

Why is the spin speed important?

A high spin speed (e.g., 1400 or 1600 revolutions per minute) removes more water from the laundry at the end of the wash. The drier the laundry is when taken out of the machine, the less time and energy it takes to dry it on a line or in a tumble dryer.

Does Euronics offer installation and removal of old appliances?

Yes. We offer home delivery for appliances, professional installation, as well as the removal and recycling of your old appliance. With the installation service, you ensure that water connections are tight, transit bolts are properly removed, and the appliance is immediately ready for use.
