The capacity (kg) indicates how much dry laundry the machine can hold. For small households (1-2 people), a 6–7 kg machine is often sufficient. For families with children and those who exercise a lot, we recommend at least an 8–10 kg machine. A larger drum leaves room for the laundry to move, which improves the washing result and reduces wrinkling.

Yes, most standard-sized front-loading washing machines allow the building of a washing tower. You will need a stacking kit for this, which securely attaches the tumble dryer on top of the washing machine. Always verify the compatibility and dimensions of the appliances with the seller.

An automatic dosing system (like Bosch i-Dos or Miele TwinDos) measures the amount and dirtiness of the laundry, dispensing exactly the right amount of detergent. This saves detergent, water, and the environment, and prevents detergent residue in clothes, which is important for people with sensitive skin.

A brushless motor (also known as an inverter or EcoSilence motor) is quieter, more durable, and more energy-efficient than a traditional motor. Because the motor does not have wearing carbon brushes, many manufacturers offer up to a 10-year warranty on the motor.

The steam function (Steam) is an excellent way to refresh lightly worn clothes without water washing. It also opens the fibers of the textiles at the end of the wash, significantly reducing wrinkles and the need for ironing. Additionally, steam effectively removes allergens.

Standard machines are about 60 cm deep, but it is also important to account for the space left behind for water connections (approx. 5-10 cm) as well as the space needed in front to open the door. For small spaces, there are also so-called slim models available, with a depth of only 40–50 cm.

The spin speed affects how dry the laundry is after washing. The most common speed is 1400 RPM, but machines spinning at 1600 RPM leave the laundry even drier. This saves a considerable amount of time and electricity if you dry your laundry in a tumble dryer.

We recommend running a cleaning program or a 90-degree wash with an empty machine about once a month to remove detergent residues and odors. Also remember to clean the lint filter and the crevices of the door seal regularly.
