The Garmin Varia Vue STVZO combines a powerful front light and a 4K camera into a single smart device, providing safety and assurance on every ride.
The Varia Vue captures crystal-clear 4K video, accurately documenting road events with precision and detail. If the device detects an incident, it automatically saves the recorded footage (regional restrictions may apply). This way, crucial moments are preserved without interrupting your ride.
The integrated front light delivers a brightness of 120-165 lumens and offers two light modes: bright and dim. The anti-glare beam is designed to minimize light intensity above the cutoff line, preventing glare for oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and other cyclists. When paired with a compatible Edge bike computer, the automatic brightness adjustment adapts the light intensity based on your speed and surrounding lighting conditions.
You can expand the camera's field of view by connecting it to the Varia RCT716 rear radar camera (sold separately) and simultaneously record rear-facing video. The Varia app allows you to manage camera and light settings, edit footage, and add information to your clips. Cloud storage for videos is available through the Garmin Vault subscription, which offers a free trial for new users.
The battery lasts up to 9 hours with the camera recording in low light. With 4K recording, battery life reaches up to 2.5 hours in bright mode, up to 3 hours in dim mode, and up to 6 hours without light. Without the camera, the light's battery life is up to 3.5 hours in bright mode and up to 5 hours in dim mode.
Its compact and durable design, IPX7 water resistance, and versatile connectivity features make the Varia Vue a reliable partner for both commuting and extended road rides.
