Brother WARRANTY

All Brother devices come with a two (2) year warranty, known as the Back to Base warranty, meaning it must be delivered to a service point.

For some Brother devices (ink and laser printers), it is possible to obtain an extended warranty, which we call the SWAP device exchange warranty. The warranty period is three years. This is an additional warranty granted by Brother Finland Oy. For more information about the SWAP device exchange warranty, please visit our website www.brother.fi/swap

Brother supplies are covered by a so-called functionality guarantee.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DEVICE SERVICE

Always contact Brother Finland before sending your device to our service. You can reach us via email (tuki@brother.fi) or by phone at 09 875 92 288 (service).

We will need the device's serial number for identification and RMA number.

The serial number can usually be found on the back of the device and consists of a series of numbers, e.g. (E12345A8B123456). The actual serial number consists of the last nine characters: a letter, a number, a letter, and 6 numbers, e.g. A8B123456.

For service processing and registration, we need customer information: name, address, phone number, email address, and purchase date. If it is a business, contact details of the contact person are preferable.

We will register the device for the customer if registration has not already been done. Registration does not indicate warranty validity; the purchase date must be demonstrated reliably, for example, by a receipt or invoice.

If you have a so-called D.O.A (Dead On Arrival) situation, meaning the device does not function upon unpacking, please contact Brother Finland's service to resolve the issue.

 

The device will be exchanged for a new one. If the model has been discontinued, we will attempt to replace it with a comparable model.

For inkjet devices, please ensure that the device has either transport protection or ink cartridges installed during transport.
