Television Calibration

The best possible picture from your television - make the most of your new device!

With Euronics' television calibration service, you will achieve a more natural, detailed, and balanced picture on your TV.

Calibration delivers the best possible picture quality from the device

Contrast, colors, color balance, and grayscale are adjusted to get as close as possible to the original, as intended by the content producer. Televisions are calibrated to the industry standard Rec. 709 color space commonly used in TV and HD video, and around 100 cd/m2 brightness.

Calibration begins by measuring the initial picture settings

After assessing the initial conditions, the picture is adjusted and measured repeatedly until the desired outcome is achieved. Professional-grade SpectraCal equipment is used for this. SpectraCal products are utilized in the film industry, and the C6 HDR2000 colorimeter alongside CalMAN Video Pro software represents the most advanced technology available. Once the desired result is achieved, the picture is measured one more time and the settings are recorded in a report.

Each screen is unique

All televisions are calibrated individually because each screen is unique. To achieve the best possible benefit, the picture optimization should be performed in the intended use environment. However, this can be costly and time-consuming. We have created a pre-installation center with a space that mimics the average living room lighting, where we perform calibrations. This achieves good results at an affordable price.

Why calibrate?

Very often, television manufacturers set the image too strong and bright. Usually, the image tone is also too cool. This makes devices stand out better in retail conditions, where they compete for consumer attention. However, the same image may not necessarily look as good under home conditions and with standard material.

The image can naturally be adjusted manually, but it is practically impossible to achieve the same results as with professional-grade equipment through visual means. Therefore, an expensive device may not achieve its full potential if the settings are incorrect.

Before and after report

A report is provided regarding the calibration and its results, showing measurement results and settings before and especially after calibration. This way, the correct settings can be found in the report and can be adjusted back to the television following any system updates or resets during service.
