The Beurer EM80 offers three fundamental functions:

- Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
- Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS)
- A massage effect induced by electrical signals

This device enhances overall well-being, alleviates pain, maintains fitness, promotes relaxation, rehabilitates muscles, and helps prevent fatigue. The effectiveness of electrical stimulation devices relies on generating and transmitting impulses from electrodes through the skin to nerve and muscle fibers.

TENS refers to the electrical stimulation of nerves via the skin. TENS is a clinically validated, effective method that is free from side effects and approved for pain management.

The EMS method (muscle stimulation) is used, among other things, as a supplement to traditional muscle training to improve the performance of muscle groups and sculpt the body.

The massage technique offers a program that resembles the sensation and effects of genuine massage. With four separately adjustable channels, the device's feature allows the intensity of the impulses to be tailored independently for multiple body areas. This enables coverage of both sides of the body or even consistent stimulation of larger tissue areas. Each channel's intensity is individually adjustable.
