As the natural daylight decreases significantly in autumn and winter, coupled with people spending more time indoors, the effects of light deficiency can manifest as seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Symptoms of SAD can vary, including mood swings, lack of energy, increased need for sleep, loss of appetite, and difficulty concentrating.

Beurer bright light devices are specifically designed to compensate for symptoms caused by a lack of sunlight. These devices simulate daylight at a brightness of 10,000 lux, greatly exceeding standard lighting. Beurer bright light devices are certified medical devices.

For optimal results, Beurer bright light devices are recommended for daily use during the darkest times of the year, from 6 AM to 8 PM. Just 30 to 60 minutes of bright light therapy each day can help enhance well-being and ease symptoms of SAD. The therapy is most effective when started early in the morning, ideally between 6 AM and 10 AM. However, bright light therapy can also be beneficial at other times of the day due to individual circadian rhythms. You can use the bright light device as often as you like; however, for the best results, it is recommended to use it daily for at least two hours.

The lamp emits a consistent bright and flicker-free light that is gentle on the eyes. The device can be set up in both vertical and horizontal positions.
