The Optio function is the heart of this model. It gauges the amount of water being used and adapts the extraction time and heating plate temperature accordingly. This way, your coffee is never weak or bitter, but instead, brews evenly and aromatic every time. It brews a full 1.25-litre carafe in just six minutes, and a separate warming plate maintains the coffee at the ideal serving temperature of 80–85 °C.
Two independent heating elements ensure precise filtration temperatures (92–96 °C) and consistent warmth retention. The automatic drip stop makes use clean and safe: you can lift the carafe during brewing without spills. The automatic shut-off feature turns the machine off after 40 minutes, enhancing energy efficiency and providing peace of mind.
Every Moccamaster is handcrafted in the Netherlands, and each unit is tested before leaving the factory.
