Different types of tea require water at varying temperatures to unlock the best flavours. With the CHA kettle, you can select the temperature based on the type of tea, ensuring perfect results every time.
Brew tea or boil water
The Wilfa CHA kettle comes with two lids: one with a strainer for brewing tea, and one for serving or boiling water. This glass kettle features a 1.25-litre capacity and is crafted from durable glass and stainless steel. The Wilfa CHA kettle also includes a keep-warm function and prevents boiling when empty.
User-friendly operation
Using the CHA tea kettle is simple:
Select your tea
Measure the appropriate amount of tea into the strainer
Choose the correct temperature setting for your selected tea (temperature settings are marked on the kettle's control panel)
Wait for the tea to brew, remove the strainer, place the serving lid on the kettle, and serve.
Different teas require specific temperatures and steeping times
To achieve the best flavour, pay careful attention to both the water temperature and steeping time. Different tea types are recommended to steep at varying temperatures. At high temperatures, some teas can become bitter, and excessively hot water can destroy the delicate compounds found in green tea. Green tea, as well as light teas like white and yellow tea, should be brewed using water at temperatures between 70°C - 85°C. Black tea can benefit from boiling water, ideally at temperatures between 90°C - 100°C.
