Yes, it can, and this is called a washing tower. However, the correct type of intermediate stacking kit is required for installation, ensuring the tower's stability and safety. Often, the stacking kit also features a handy pull-out shelf for a laundry basket. Always check the compatibility of the appliances with the seller.

A top-loading washing machine is an excellent solution for narrow spaces. These machines are typically only 40–45 cm wide, whereas front-loading ones are usually 60 cm wide. A top-loading model also does not require space for a door to open in front of the machine.
