YAMAHA CD-S303 CD PLAYER SILVER

YAMAHA CD-S303 CD PLAYER SILVER

Designed for Exceptional Sound Quality
The CD-S303 CD player incorporates several high-end audio features to deliver an engaging listening experience for music lovers. In addition to standard CDs, it also plays music files stored on USB drives via the front panel USB port.

Pure Direct Functionality
The CD-S303 features the popular Pure Direct function known from Yamaha's amplifiers and receivers. A button on the front panel or remote control switches off the digital audio output and display, ensuring minimal interference and providing the best possible analogue sound quality.

Highly Sophisticated Circuit Design and Layout
Yamaha technicians have meticulously arranged the components and circuit boards, significantly impacting audio quality. The motor drive, display, and USB components, along with the power supplies for both digital and analogue sections, are individually isolated to eliminate electromagnetic interference. The mechanism is positioned in the centre of the unit, ensuring ideal weight distribution and stable performance.

Short Signal Paths
The highly logical and symmetrical internal structure of components and circuit boards is designed to keep signal paths as short as possible in each circuit. This purposeful design also keeps the pathways between parts straight and short, minimising the possibility of signal loss or interference, which is not easily achieved.

High-Quality Components that Work Well Together
Every part of the CD player affects sound quality, which is why Yamaha prioritises the selection of components and materials, as well as their compatibility. Examples of Yamaha's commitment to excellent audio quality include high-quality acoustic capacitors, a new quiet high-power amplifier, and the use of damping material beneath the transformer and around the signal cables. In summary, the sophisticated internals of the CD-S303 match the level typically found in higher-priced models.

Efficient DA Converter
With a 192 kHz / 24-bit DA converter, the effective DA conversion system leverages Yamaha's refined digital technology developed over the years, ensuring excellent conversion accuracy, signal-to-noise ratio, and dynamic range.

Laser Detection with Floating Mechanism
Laser detection is isolated in a floating mechanism, ensuring vibrations do not affect the sensitive operation of the laser.

Intelligent Digital Servo
Traditional servo circuits cannot completely eliminate errors caused by warped discs, dust, and other defects. This system uses a reliable DSP (Digital Signal Processor) dedicated to CD playback for signal monitoring, laser detection tracking, and focusing adjustments, as well as speed control of the spindle motor to correct potential issues.

Listen to MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, and FLAC Music
The front panel USB port allows you to easily listen to digital music files in MP3, WMA, LPCM, AAC, or FLAC formats saved on USB devices. You can also play files recorded on CD-R/RW discs.

CD Text Display in 3 Modes
The information from the played CD is visibly displayed on the CD player's screen. The three-mode CD text display shows the CD title, artist name, and track name.

Program Playback (for CD audio discs only)
Tracks can be easily programmed in any order, and you can clear the program at any time with a single touch.
